The Department of Commerce has organized a two day international conference on marketing ICM 2015: Contemporary Trends and Challenges across the Globe on 3 & 4 April 2015. The Chief Guest invited for the event was Mr. Sudhanshu Vats, Group CEO, Viacom 18, India. In the conference more than 500 participants participated in four different technical sessions .The themes of four technical sessions were corporate and marketing communication, evolving aspects of marketing, recent trends in marketing and emerging sectors in service marketing. In all the technical sessions’ academicians and experts from industry shared their knowledge and practical experience with the participants. In each technical session expert talk was followed by presentation of participants of their research paper. Topics relating to present day marketing, retailing, customers services and marketing of various services were also discussed in the conference. The conference helped in providing basic to advanced knowledge of marketing and future prospects in the field to the participants.
