RTI – An Empowering Tool for the Citizens of India 2019

The Department of Business Studies organised a Workshop on ‘Right to Information (RTI) – An Empowering Tool for the Citizens of India’ for the Semester II students of B.Com (H) and B.Com. (P) on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Ojas Hall, IISU Campus.

Dr. Roopa Manglani, RTI Activist and Associate Professor, BGD Govt. Girls College, Shahpura, Jaipur and Mr. Shailendra Agarwal, News Editor, Rajasthan Patrika, Jaipur who are experts in were invited as the Resource Persons for the same.

The Workshop was instrumental in helping the students know about the essential provisions of this landmark legislation and how they can use it to bring a change in the society through seeking important information from the government department and agencies.

The students were demonstrated the process of writing an RTI application, both in the offline and online mode.
