Objective: 

Objective of the Paper: To create an understanding in the students regarding data privacy and data protection in cyberspace and the security measures to be taken to safeguard oneself against cybercrime.
Learning outcomes: On completion of this paper/course student should be able to-
• To equip the students with privacy issues and norms for safeguarding oneself against cyber crimes.
• To develop an understanding among the students regarding data theft and ways to stop it.
• To make the students aware about legal framework in the area of data privacy and data protection.

National Legal framework for protecting privacy : Supreme Court on right to privacy, right to privacy v/s freedom of press, reasonable restriction
