Ms. parveen Mahtani, Chief Legal Officer of Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Ltd. took a session through virtual mode where she talked about the importance and functioning of Companies A.Jt, ZOt: and highlighted the key points stating its importance for companies. She also addressed the differencei between Companies Act 1956 and Companies Act 2013. Significant information regarding certain compliances that the government.has-introduced in thJCompaniesAct,2Ol3io enhincetherole ifcorporategovernanceinthelndiancompanies
was discussed by the speaker.
She further stressed with the help of various examples that adhering the compliances of Companies Act, 20!3 also helps the business to make a good market image and ensures its positive growth . For a company to have positive impression on public it needs to disclose its arrnual ,"-po.t, so that the investors can understand the financial situation and working of the
company and make investment decision'
