Objective: To enhance the practical knowledge related to Cyber Law.
Learning Outcomes: On completion of this paper/course student should be able to-
• To give a real life exposure to students about the theoretical aspects of data privacy and safeguards against its theft.
• To enhance the skills of students reading resolution of disputes in cyberspace.
Case Study/ Team Project/Role play / Guest Lecture : Theories of jurisdiction in criminal cases, general jurisdiction in computer crimes, application of ‘effect’ doctrine in computer crimes, convention on cyber crime.
Case Study/ Team Project/Role Play/ Guest Lecture : Prevention of cyber crime :deterrence as a means of prevention, technology as aid to prevention, user awareness, IT Act & prevention of offences.
Case Study/ Team Project/Role Play/ Guest Lecture : Supreme Court on right to privacy, right to privacy v/s freedom of press, reasonable restriction
