Laws Governing Cyberspace

(Theory)

CO49: Identify the pre-2000 environment, goals, purpose, and efficacy of the Information Technology Act 2000 in relation to contemporary IT issues.

CO50: Apply IT Act provisions, especially in understanding extraterritorial effects, digital signatures, Controller’s role, and license procedures.

CO51: Develop an Understanding IT Act, e-government, Functional Equivalence Approach, analyze legal frameworks, and propose innovative strategies for e-governance.

CO52: Analyze the IT Act’s punishment procedures for cyber violations, assess the Cyber Regulation Appellate Tribunal’s roles, and determine the determine the law’s relevance to cyberspace.

CO53: Evaluate the guidelines issued by various ministries, including the Broadband Policy 2004, Domain Policy Framework, and Guidelines for Setting up of International Gateways for Internet.
